Sonic XX 2-4

    Eggman sat in his chair at his top secret undercover workshop, just off the R97 in Greensville (another town similar to Emerald Creek also situated outside Station Square) down the main road; behind the Tesco*. Here he flipped through a shoddy 1982 television set looking through all the news channels. And each one had a picture of a new flying fortress flying above and people running for dear life. He looked pleased as he adjusted his moustache. The world was in panic, and there was no one to stop him now. He turned off the telly and flickered on the lights. They flickered violently at first, but then the plasma settled and other light panels started to illuminate. Once the lights settled, one could see that this was not just a poorly built shed behind a supermarket; it was like a portal. Blueprints and machines here and there along with a Cold War–styled illuminated battle map on the wall with a circular table to hold meetings and behind massive sliding doors to the far end of the room, a hangar full of previous robots that Eggman had used to try and defeat Sonic. The walls were lined with a magnesium alloy compound backed with antimony to protect it from strong blasts. This was his first base, before he ran out of room was forced to make his better known offshore facility. He mainly uses it for storage, but for now he will use it as his main base to keep a low profile whilst he creates the Eggman Empire.

"It is time," he started deeply, "soon the world will have a new leader to bow down to."

Eggman had already taken control of the weaker Marxist states towards the southeast of the continent, which was very easy. Partly because the citizens were in rebellion to overthrow their governments, but also because thanks to these revolts, there really wasn't any government to organise and authorise a counterattack. A little over 2,500 people lost their lives across six nations in Eggman's reenactment of a blitzkrieg. He planned to follow the example of Adolf Hitler, whom he had read of in some archives he gathered when they were transported via Chaos Control to earth. Start off slowly stealing people's hearts whilst busting everyone else's heads off.

—Meanwhile—

Johann had woken up from his unexpected nap. He woke up and immediately sat up to see everyone surrounding him. They looked surprised yet concerned at the same time. He was acting funny lately due to the gas potion that Eggman gave him.

"Are you alright?" Tails asked. 

"I don't know," Johann started,"I just felt the absolute need to sleep. It's as if my physiology has been completely swapped. I don't know what's happening to me, I don't know if it'll kill me; but I MUST find out."

"Just remember; you're not alone on this," Sonic reassured him, to which Johann gave him a bro fist.

Knuckles was watching the news when another report of Eggman came in, "you might want to have a look at this, guys."

It was an image of a destroyed parliament building with people cheering in the streets, carrying rusted pitchforks on fire, throwing their hats in the air. Eggman had set them free, for now. The reporter said that the people shown belong to a communist state and were going against their government in order to restore democracy and capitalism instead of absolute communism, totalitarianism and fascism. The destruction of the parliament building was their sign of the destruction of their government, rendering them free. These six nations have decided (via their preliminary leaders) to join as one nation under the name of Egmaslovakia. Their flag: a red and white horizontal split with an eagle towards the middle. Riding on that eagle's back was Eggman. 
The Egmaslovakians know who had set them free, and brainwashed into thinking of Eggman as a liberator, they wanted to annex others as well.

"What are we gonna do?!" Amy cried.

"I don't know," Cosmo answered, "what do you think Galaxina?"

"This is too much, don't you think so Johann? Johann?" She turned round to find him playing with a ball of yarn he found in the embroidery basket. A few moments later, he cleared his throat. The whole room fell silent and awaited his response. After a few moments of eerie silence, he spoke out.

"This means war. The nation of Egmaslovakia will annex other surrounding nations against their will forcing a counterattack, probably six. This will lead to the retaliation and rising tensions form the Egmaslovakians leading to a large scale conflict. We are looking at not just the formation of an empire, but of a full scale continental war." He proclaimed.

"Well first, let's see how we can prevent this war AT THE SIZE WE ARE NOW!" Knuckles was despaired. 

"Well instead of moping about, let's head to the workshop, and cue the music." Tails said.

With that they set off to the workshop and planned methods to prevent what may become the world's next biggest spotlight.
